Introduce yourself in less than 10 words…..

A Pop artist from Jordan, making music that’s a mix of both English and Arabic languages.

What made you want to get into music?

The drive that I have to always want to create my own music using my own words, feelings, and stories. It’s a term that has recently gained popularity called “grit”. It’s this persistence and perseverance of effort and passion on something which in my case was creating my original music. I know that I will never want to stop creating music. I know that I love creating music to tell a story of every phase of my life that I hope someone might resonate with. I know nothing fulfils me the way music does.

What come first lyrics or music?

Well it really depends, sometimes I have a feeling that I still can’t put words to so I just hum to let the melody out and slowly begin to dissect the story of what I’m trying to say to write it down in a coherent way. Sometimes there’s a sentence that pops up explaining exactly how I feel, like in the case of ‘exist with you’. The first sentence was just ready before anything else was, so I kept it as it is.

What has been the best gig you’ve ever played and why?

It was definitely in 2018 as the opening act for Kat Dahlia when she came to Jordan. I still hadn’t released my original music, but just vibing with the crowd, jumping and dancing on stage, this was a feeling that I will never forget and that I always go back to whenever I doubt myself.

What was the last track you played on Spotify?

I am not a woman by Halsey. I just loved her whole album, she’s so true to herself as an artist, I draw a lot of inspiration from her!

What other talents do you have? (kazop playing, champion toast burner….

Well, I actually love sports and was in the Track and Fields team in school as a sprinter!

If you could collaborate with any band / person / producer who would it be?

I’d actually love to write with Julia Michaels. I’d love to also work with Alan Walker on a crazy beat heavy track. I’d love to collaborate with Post Malone, I’ve been a huge fan since day one, and so many more to be named!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Music wise, I would say it’s to always focus on being yourself sonically and reflecting that in your music, and that it’s always about the music, nothing else matters.

Where can we find out more? (also flog us some merch we love tees…..)

Everything I do is first announced on my Instagram, so that’s definitely the first place to visit. Then it’s YouTube for music videos, and then all other DSPs.

Talk us through the new track / video

The ‘Exist With You’ music video was shot at a historical place here in Jordan called the Citadel. It’s a very special place that I chose firstly because of how much I love that location, secondly because it’s just so high up, it shows such beautiful views of Amman, all showcased in the video.
