Oh, and what a night it was…

January 3rd 2019 was a date on so many peoples minds, especially for those lucky 100 VIP guests who were exclusively invited to attend the Italian restaurant, Babbo’s first birthday bash in Prestwich.

Babbo owners wanted to say a special thank you to their regular customers, who over the over the years have grown to love the restaurant that’s become a part of the fabric of Prestwich.

The event was attended by, industry professionals, VIPs, press, bloggers, the who’s who with celebrities flocking to this favourite Italian restaurant in Prestwich on a Thursday evening.

The specially selected guests arrived at the new stylish and recently rebranded restaurant and on arrival, guests were greeted to a glass of Prosecco including strawberry garnish or a large gin and tonic, sponsored by Sipsmith Gin. sipsmith.com

The gin station was attended by brand ambassador Charlene Holt, who was serving guests with sloe hot gin and gingerbread throughout the evening.

Caroline Dowse from Northern Revive said, “I must say, this was my favourite drink of the night and I’m so looking forward to enjoying more over this coming year”.

A variety of amazing food was also being served up to guests throughout the night from a variety of mouth-watering Italian canapes, a huge cooked salmon and amazing desserts all served up to guests on silver trays, specially prepared by head chef Kevin, in a sophisticated party manner.

As the venue filled, the guests were treated to live music by the award-winning saxophone player and singer Carlo Sax www.carlosax.com who is a firm favourite at the restaurant and has recently chosen to Audition for Britain’s Got Talent.

This was followed with more entertainment by the newly formed company with over 20 years’ experience, Mo Bar cocktail flair bar show. Martin took the stage and created even more of the WOW factor with his fantastic flaring skills, simply amazing!

And if that was not enough, guests were also treated to another surprise, Brad (who is a waiter at Babbo) took to the stage delivering his rendition of ‘try a little tenderness’, bringing a whole new meaning to singing waiters! What a voice and received a standing ovation!!

The atmosphere was electric with guests dancing, laughing and having a fantastic time.

The guest list included: Goldie Cheung from X Factor fame, Sofia Spencer management who is seen featured on BBC Doctors, Heartbeat, 2 pints of lager, Coronation Street to name but a few with singer Reiss Harrison soon to be on X Factor, Alan Townley, Irene Estry, Health and fitness specialist works with some of the Coronation cast, Jennie Platt, Brian and Maxine Warner from Lemon tree work with Coronation Street Actors, Nash Patel, David Brockway from WPP, Caroline Dowse from Northern Revive Magazine who recently interviewed Leanne Brown, from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, featured on front cover of the magazine and many others.

The grand finale was the cutting of the bespoke birthday cake, complete with sparkler and confetti shooter as Carlo Sax played at the end of the night again which brought the vibe alive.

The Event was organised by The Edge Events who managed the guest list all the way through to the finer details.

Everything was thoroughly thought out with attention to detail.
