Cheers! – Another fantastic venue gets behind Rochdale’s Feel Good Festival

Rochdale’s latest gastropub The Wellington will be bringing sophistication and style to this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

Rochdale’s latest gastropub, The Wellington will be bringing sophistication and style to this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

The town centre eatery that opened last year in Rochdale town centre will be an official partner of the festival, trading at the event and hosting the aftershow party.

The deal will also see The Wellington’s logo on festival marketing and a series of warm-up events.

The Grade 2 listed building dating back to 1750 boasts a stunning restaurant and bar, packed with gorgeous and unusual features from the 1920s and Victorian period.

Managed by Michael and Sarah Howarth who also run the thriving Vicolo Del Vino wine bar nearby, the Wellington serves a classic British menu seven days a week, all cooked from fresh.

They also have a first-floor function room due to open this year.

Michael Howarth said the team are very excited to be supporting the festival for the first time:

“Rochdale Feel Good Festival brings thousands of people into town and creates a real buzz about the place which we want to be a part of.

We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to The Wellington, joining the celebrations and helping to support this amazing event.

Festival-goers will be able to extend their night out with our official aftershow party which we are very excited about.”

Mark Widdup, director of Rochdale Borough Council said:

“We are planning another superb festival, and it’s good news to welcome The Wellington as a new sponsor, another local business investing in the town and this great event.

We have seen how the festival has grown over the last few years which is good for Rochdale and also our town centre businesses.”

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Saturday 18 August, for another showcase of entertainment, food, drink and culture.
