A perfect blend of classic rock and country music prepare yourself to discover something different, new and exciting when you start listening to James Holkworth Conspiracy.
The band consists of 2 former members of Thin Lizzy and having worked with Phil Lynott they really are the best of the best. When a band like this crops up with such amazing credentials you just know that there’s something brilliant going to happen.
The Battle Of Faughart is their new single and it is a humour filled country rock ‘n’ roll classic. You can tell the band love what they do and that reflects in the music.
Northern Revive caught up with James Holkworth Conspiracy and this is what they had to say:
Northern Revive: Please Introduce yourself in less than 10 words…..
James Holkworth Conspiracy: We love good songs, cold beer and humor!
NR: What inspires you to write?
JHC: A good story is the most important thing. But sometimes the music can come to you first, in a weird dream or maybe on the bus.
NR: Who has had the most influence on your music?
JHC: We try to be us, but of course we are huge fans of Thin Lizzy and Warren Zevon.
NR: How did you all meet?
JHC: This is a bit of a secret you know. I contacted them when I came back from my long hiatus. But one is an old friend, one is a not so old friend and one is a new friend. And they are great musicians. All have good ideas.
NR: Who is the most annoying band member?
JHC: Our drummer Gus Rackbatter. He always brings a lot of tennis balls when we meet. We have asked him why, but he says it’s none of our business.
NR: What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?
JHC: For me personally, it has been a long fight to get my voice working again after the accident with animals back in Canada in 1986.
