Gender Neutral Changing Rooms

Will gender specific changing rooms be a thing of the past?

Fashion giant Topshop have recently announced it now has gender-neutral changing rooms. The change in the retailer’s attitudes towards transgender needs came from growing pressure from their own customers.

The change came to light when artist and writer Travis Alabanza was told they could not use one of the female changing rooms at a Manchester Topshop store.

Travis spoke out on Twiter and received an outpouring of support.

However, the new policy has caused controversy among some of its customers.

A discussion on Mumsnet attracted almost 600 responses in just 15 hours.

We would love to hear your opinions on this, do we need to move with the times or are certain things just best left as they are?
