Rochdale Wedding Show celebrates a successful day
Rochdale Wedding Show returned on Sunday (10 April) when brides and grooms-to-be descended on Rochdale town centre. The show moved to another new venue – Number One Riverside whilst Rochdale Town Hall undergoes a major refurbishment.
After two years of being on hold, weddings are back and over 200 guests visited the show looking for inspiration for their perfect day. 25 companies exhibited the latest trends in bridal wear, formal menswear and everything else needed for the big day. There was live musical accompaniment from wedding pianist Craig Morgan and a collection of wedding cars to get you to your venue on time and in style.
Lots of visitors took a tour around the new accommodation inside Rochdale Register Office which includes a 70 seat ceremony room – which holds marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.
Prosecco and canapés from The Lancashire Hospitality Co-operation were served to visitors on arrival.
Tricia Keogh from Daniel Christian Menswear said it was a successful show: “Weddings are definitely back, we were busy both at the show and in our store over at Rochdale Riverside, getting lots of enquiries, it was a really good day.”
Mark Widdup, director of neighbourhoods at Rochdale Borough Council said: “This year we have welcomed a number of new exhibitors and Number One Riverside proved a great venue. Initial feedback from exhibitors has been positive and it was good to see so many local businesses generating new enquiries and taking orders on the day.”
