Marsela drops new inspiring track ‘Dark days’

Produced by Kieran Guy, Marsela documents spiritual resilience on her journey to
perseverance, despite facing hardships.

The RnB/Soul singer-songwriter ponders over
character-defining memories. Over a soft piano beat and subtle bass, Marsela reminds listeners they are in control of their life, your troubles do not define you. Marsela’s soulful vocals repeatedly rise and sink into the melodic instrumental; her bassy yet silky voice lyrically captures every stage of pain and healing.

When speaking about the track, she states “Even if the tide is working against you and you
find yourself in a shipwreck of your troubles, you can and should pick yourself up every
single time. Every day is a new day!”

Please introduce yourself in less than 10 words…..

Hello, I’m Marsela, creator of (mostly) sad songs….

What made you want to get into music?

Music as an experience is so special whether you’re a listener or creator, I think I realised that early on and didn’t look back.

What’s the writing process?

It’s usually spontaneous and feeling led so theres not a formula behind it. I just try to express myself and then convert that into a story for the listeners to enjoy.

What come first lyrics or music?

Melody for feeling, but if there’s a prominent message I want to convey, I start with lyrics!

What was the last track you played on Spotify?

Bill Withers, Lovely day ♥️

How do you transfer that onstage energy to the studio?

By thinking about the message behind the song, this tends to drive the emotion and realness of the performance.

If you could collaborate with anyone who would it be?

If I could pick anyone ever, it would be QUEEN!!

What’s in store for you when all this is over?

More releases, live shows!!

Talk us through the new track and video:

Dark Days is about resilience and perseverance and knowing even if you’ve found yourself in a bit of a shipwreck, or the cards you have been dealt are not great, you can and should always rise!!.

I worked with a really special artist, Alexandra Panduru for the Lyric video which is out today! (5th March) I also have a music video on the way! You heard it here first!
