Ska music stars The Uplifters will play the festival’s main stage on Saturday 18 August.

A seven-piece Manchester band, who relished an unbelievable reception when they last performed at the festival in 2015, playing all styles of ska from Prince Buster and The Skatalites to The Specials and Madness.

Mixing Jamaican music from the early 1960’s with two-tone rhythms from the late 70’s to create their sound, this band has supported acts including Bad Manners, The Beat, and Neville Staple.

For their Rochdale return, they promise another storming live set of well-known tunes along with some original material from their album, ‘Who Turned The Lights Out?’

SOUND: The Uplifters return to the main stage this August.

Joining them will be hot new global songstress Anna Pancaldi.

All of her current releases have made the top ten of the iTunes singer-songwriter charts, and she’s headlined three sold-out shows in London with her haunting vocals gaining support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.

Influenced by Carol King and Jeff Buckley, Anna has enjoyed success in both the UK and US (NYC, Nashville and LA), where she made her US live television debut on CBS LA. This month she’s off on a European tour.
