As headline sponsor for Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run
Family owned prestige motor retail centre, Williams Rochdale BMW has renewed its support for Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run, after signing a new three-year deal which sees the company confirmed as title sponsor of the event until 2021.
The announcement comes just weeks after registrations opened for the popular event, will be staged on Sunday 6 October this year.
Runners will again start by Rochdale Town Hall and set out on traffic-free courses taking in town and countryside, including a beautiful section around Hollingworth Lake – one of the north-wests’ most-popular beauty spots.

As part of the agreement, the event will retain its name – Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run.
Williams, based on Gorrels Way off the A627M, will help to promote the event across the region as well as having a striking presence at the town hall during the day itself.
John Connor, head of business at Williams Rochdale, BMW said: “As a family-run business we’re always keen to support the local community, and this growing event continues to go from strength to strength.
Most importantly, it also helps raise money for some fantastic charities, including over £12,500 for Springhill Hospice last year alone.
We are proud of Williams Rochdale to be the title sponsor for 2019-2021 and look forward to showcasing our innovative class-leading BMW vehicles to everyone involved.”
Since 2015 over 4,500 people have taken part in the event, which Williams Rochdale BMW has supported since it launched.
Councillor Janet Emsley cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council said:
“I would like to thank our excellent title sponsor Williams Rochdale BMW for their continued support.
They have a superb team who have put a lot of energy and enthusiasm into this event over the last few years, and I know they will continue to do so.
They will benefit from the exposure that goes with having their name attached to one of the biggest local sporting events that attract runners and spectators from across the region and beyond.”
